Finishing:
The wood block as shown was exclusive to the retreat project. It is a simple block painted black with a hole drilled for the scissors - and you may be able to find something similar or create your own. A small piece of Whiskey wool was applied to the wrong side of the stitching and attached to the block.
The Sewing Bee
A sweet pin pillow and berry design with the sewing 'bee’ as the main character. The berry was first released in collaboration with Heartstring Samplery at a retreat in 2020. Now available with a companion pin pillow design (hand-dyed buttons and charm included).
You will also notice a small design finished as a scissor block - this was stitched on 30 count silk gauze (not included), and it is a quick stitch suited to lots of finishes. This chartpak includes charts for all three pieces: berry, pin pillow, and scissor block.
