A new series of four teeny samplers called “Words to Live By” – the advice is familiar but worth repeating. Live Simply, Care Deeply, Love Generously, Speak Kindly. The design elements and colors are mostly traditional so will appeal to the classic sampler lover.

There are bands of satin stitches and cross stitches over two threads of mesh to add texture and dimension. Each of the models is framed in a little frame from Olde Colonial Designs.

Each chartpak comes with the individual cut of gauze and is framed separately, but this series would also be lovely framed together – or if you would prefer to work them on linen, they can easily be stitched all together on a single piece of fabric as shown in this example. For example, on 32 count over two threads, each sampler is about 3.5” wide and 5.4” high.

All have a stitch count of 57 x 86 (1.4" x 2.2"), are stitched with overdyed cottons and fit into the little frames from Olde Colonial Designs. Live Simply is especially good for a beginner; the others may be a bit more involved but none are difficult.
