Here’s a traditional patriotic symbol –- translated into punchneedle! He’s only about 5" tall, but has so much visual impact!


I used wonderful rich overdyed flosses from Weeks and Gentle Art, and the texture and depth of color is remarkable. Extra texture in his beard comes from changing the loop depth by adjusting the shanks on your needle. I added a teeny brass star to his hat for accent. My model is also mounted on a piece of golden hand dyed houndstooth wool which really sets him off!
