Here’s a design that will give you lots of options!

The tall sampler which is mounted onto scroll rods from Artisan Designs is stitched with Au ver a soie silk on 36ct flax-colored linen – but you can choose a favorite neutral that you like! Each little seasonal sampler is shown on its own scroll rods! And the entire alphabet is there when the seasons are stitched all together!

The quotation is from Charles Dickens – "Nature gives to every time and season some beauties of its own; and from morning to night, as from the cradle to the grave, it is but a succession of changes so gentle and easy that we can scarcely mark their progress."

But don’t stop there –- each individual design is a great little quick-to-finish project -– and you can use the alphabet letters to add a name or title of your own in place of those letters!

The models shown here are just some ideas to get you started. I’ve stitched "Spring" on 18ct linen with perle cottons and "Summer" on 32ct Belfast – the opalescent color that sparkles a bit. The "Autumn" design is worked on 28ct Newport linen which has a nice little windowpane plaid and looks terrific as a counterpoint to the round pincushion in which it’s mounted. Finally, the "Winter" design is stitched on a pale green “celery” shade of Graziano’s gingham linen – so pretty!
