My Ship

Louisa May Alcott is the author of this inspirational quote and you see it used often to comfort or support someone struggling with illness or other issues. My version is stitched on 32ct Misty Rain linen (from Lakeside Linens) in colors from Weeks Dye Works with an accent of pink metallic for the teeny anchor.

The companion ornament piece is worked 35ct natural brown linen (use your favorite fabric count) and embellished with a little anchor charm which is included in the chartpak.

The anchor and ship are both traditional symbols of hope, safety or security, and salvation.

Proceeds from the sale of "My Ship" will be donated to The Susan G. Komen Foundation to honor a dear friend of mine, and all those other women fighting their own breast cancer battles.
