Here are a couple of samplers with classic sentiments - one more patriotic than the other! Both are stitched on finer count linens, but have possibilities on 18ct if you prefer. You'll notice quilt-like motifs in both designs.

As for Me and My House... is stitched with Sampler Threads on 40ct Lambswool linen. I love this new count of lambswool from Wichelt Imports! It has a beautiful hand and if you enjoy these small count fabrics - you must try it! A single ivory clay star tops the piece.

My Country 'tis of Thee is done on Wichelt's 28ct Shell linen using both Sampler Threads and Weeks Dye Works overdyed floss. The stylized flag fades nicely into the background because it's stitched in 1/2 cross stitches with just 1 ply of floss.
