My Garden Gate
Inspired by the beautiful decorative metalwork found in many gardens, this pretty flowering vine can barely be contained! The design is shown in two different color ways - one with a rich dark teal background, and the other with a lighter feel. All threads and specifications are provided for each version (I used flosses from Gentle Art, Weeks, and DMC, plus some Caron Impressions). I've punched the darker version with a 1-strand punchneedle, and the other with a 3-strand; the design works well either way, so you can choose your preference. Finishes about 5˝” x 3 3/4”. The pillow shown is made of hand dyed wool, and embellished with a simple stitched “frame” for the punchneedle piece. An iron-on transfer for this border is also included. The chartpak include an iron-on transfer which you can use multiple times. |
