Life is a Journey
Indeed -- and our journeys take us in lots of different directions. Along the way we're always gathering tidbits and memories -- so perhaps a few of those can be tucked away in this lovely thread box from Olde Colonial Designs (check with your favorite retailer about getting the box). If you would rather frame the piece, the lid of the box is also available as a frame only. I've stitched this model with Belle Soie silks from Crescent Colours (suggested DMC alternates are also provided) -- and if you look closely, you will see a row of texture in the creamy white background just under the phrase. Those are Rhodes stitches worked in the same silk as the background and really add a lovely bit of dimension to this piece -- and so easy too! Stitch count: 143 wide x 69 high (3.6” x 1.75”)
