Christmastide
Inspired by a verse on a Christmas card from the 1930's, this gorgeous “petite” design is a bit more ambitious with a stitch count of 246 x 73 (that's 17 1/2” x 5+” on 28ct linen), but still very do-able!
Most of your time will be used filling in the background area, which is so easy! With a border of teeny satin stitches plus wonderful colors from The Gentle Art, Weeks Dye Works, and a bit of DMC - it is really wonderful when finished - no photo can do it justice!
NOTE: Omitted from early copies of the instructions is the detail that the satin stitch border is worked using 1 ply of Blue Spruce floss.
