As I worked on this design I was struck again by the eloquence of Abraham Lincoln – little did he know that more than 140 years later the words of his second inaugural address would be just as appropriate in our modern day. 2009 will mark the 200th anniversary of his birth; this is both inspirational and patriotic in a very classic way – no whimsy here – it just makes you think.
Your chartpak includes four pages of charts and discussion of some options for simplifying the design. Our model is stitched on 36ct linen from Lakeside Linens in a lovely old gold color called “Sand Dune” with hand dyed Bella Soie silk from Crescent Colours. As always, I’ve provided DMC alternatives if you prefer and encourage you enjoy this design on the fabric of your choosing.
