Blades of Grass

I found this quotation from the Talmud some time ago, and have always wanted to translate it into cross stitch!
The larger model is stitched on a soft yellow 30ct linen using just 3 colors of overdyed floss - just cross stitching and some satin stitch accents. It's a simple design with a more updated color palette.
The small sampler is stitched on 40ct lambswool linen (one of my personal favorites). I've added some borders and other motifs to the design if you like a more traditional sampler style. Once again, just 3 colors of overdyed floss and the satin stitch accents - so pretty!
The models range in size from about 8.5" x 3.5" up to 11" x 3.5 - stitch yours on whatever count you like.
NOTE: The violet color in our model is stitched using "Cyclamen" floss from Weeks Dye Works. This color has been discontinued, and if you are unable to get it, suggested alternatives are "Hyacinth" and "Lavender Potpourri" from The Gentle Art or DMC 3042. Also check the many other threads available for a color you like!
