A is for Artichoke
Such a restful and peaceful garden design with models stitched on 2 linens – one very pastel and the other in slightly richer shades. The softly colored MilkpaintTM silks from Kreinik are really beautiful on the white linen.
If you prefer something a bit more colorful, the Weeks and Gentle Art flosses on Zweigart’s Summer Khaki are equally as pretty.
Tiny brass bees are a nice embellishment, but are completely optional.
Remember, the design adapts well to whatever count fabric you are comfortable with, but the satin stitches in the artichokes will make it difficult to get the same look if you are stitching on Aida cloth. These models are worked on 32 and 36 counts, with the larger one finishing at 4 ½"w x 10 ½"h.
